Police are investigating the death of a woman in her 40’s at a home in Oshawa. Joe Scarpelli reports.
“Just typical…oh again…”
That was Kate Hyde’s reaction when she looked outside her window and saw a heavy police presence across the street.
“There’s been a lot of police action at that house.”
A woman in her 40’s was found dead in this home on Bruce Street in Oshawa Wednesday night. Police say it’s too early to determine if the death is suspicious. Hyde says she heard some noise around 10:30 pm….the exact time police say they were called to the home.
“We heard some shouting but it’s very typical.”
The three-floor home is divided into three separate apartments with renters in each one. One resident who lives in the home says the incident happened in the basement. He says he doesn’t know if the deceased lived there or if she was just visiting. The man says although he’s become desensitized to police activity in the area because of how frequently he sees it, this particular episode his him a little worried.
“A little bit… I’m a little fearful that… you know…what’s going to happen next?”
“Police say the coroner’s office is conducting its investigation to determine the cause of death. Until then, the incident is being classified as a sudden death.
