Adele told an audience Saturday at her Los Angeles concert that she was asked to perform at the Super Bowl, but that she turned it down. She said, “First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl. I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really – I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no.” The NFL says they are big fans of Adele, but they have not offered her the gig.
Comedy Central’s “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore” is coming to an end. The late-night humour and talk show, which premiered in January 2015, will conclude its run Thursday, the network announced Monday. Comedy Central said, “Unfortunately it hasn’t resonated with the audience in a way that it would need to for us to continue.”
CBC Radio host Shad will exit his role as host of ‘Q’ on Tuesday. The broadcaster says the hip-hop performer will replaced by Tom Power, host of ‘Radio 2 Morning.’
‘Suicide Squad’ remained at the top of the box office for the second week. The film dropped 67 percent from last weekend pulling in $ 43.7 million to bring its total to $ 223 million. The R-rated animated comedy, ‘Sausage Party’ came in second with $ 33.6 million, well ahead of expectations.
