DRPS Find Loaded Handgun In Vehicle In Ajax

Officers located a loaded handgun and drugs in a suspicious vehicle parked in Ajax.

On Sunday July 31, 2016, at approximately 8:22 p.m., police were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle parked on Hunt Street in Ajax. A male was found asleep in the vehicle. Further investigation uncovered a loaded handgun, $250 worth of crack and marihuana and more than $11,000 in cash in the vehicle.

Alexander HENRY, age 24 of Pickering, has been charged with: Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle; Unauthorized Possession Knowing it is Unauthorized; Careless Storage of a Firearm; Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm; Unlicensed Person Knowingly Possess an Unregistered Firearm; Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (crack/cocaine); and Possession of a Controlled Substance (marihuana).
