Kesha has dismissed a California lawsuit alleging producer Dr. Luke was sexually and emotionally abusive. Her attorney said the dismissal was filed so she can focus her legal efforts in New York, where she has also sued the producer. Kesha is focusing on her career having delivered 28 new songs to Dr. Luke’s record label and Sony Music Entertainment and hopes new singles and albums will be released soon. Kesha’s lawyer said in a statement, “We have conveyed to Sony and the label Kesha’s strong desire to release her next album and single as soon as possible.”
Drake’s album ‘Views’ is number one on Billboard’s 200 Album chart for the 12th non-consecutive week. ‘Views’ has the most weeks at number 1 for an album by an artist since Adele’s 21 spent 24 weeks at the top in 2011 and 2012. The last male artist to spend more than 12 weeks at number 1 was Billy Ray Cyrus, with his album ‘Some Gave All,’ which spent 17 weeks at the top of the chart back in 1992.
Calista Flockhart will be returning for the second season of ‘Supergirl.’ The actress’ involvement was in question after the series production was moved from Los Angeles to Vancouver in order to cut costs with ‘Supergirl’ moving from CBS to sister network The CW as part of its renewal. Flockhart will no longer be a series regular, but will be recurring when the series returns for its second season in October.
