OSPCA Appealing To Pet Owners To Protect Them From Summer Heat

Durham, ON, Canada / channel12

The Ontario SPCA is appealing to pet owners to leave their pet at home where it’s cool and comfortable during the current heat wave in southern Ontario.
And it says pets should never be left unattended in a vehicle.
Parked cars can quickly reach deadly temperatures, even on relatively mild days with the car parked in the shade and the windows slightly open.
The S-P-C-A says a dog can only withstand a temperature of 41 Celsius for a short time before brain damage or even death can occur. (The Canadian Press)
