Whitney Houston’s estate is having some Emmy trouble… details in your Daily Scoop.

A federal judge has issued a temporary restraining order blocking Heritage Auctions from going forward with a plan to sell the Emmy statuette that Whitney Houston won in 1986 for her performance in Saving All My Love for You.  The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has filed a lawsuit against Heritage and Whitney Houston’s Estate claiming that a sale of the Emmy would constitute copyright infringement and conversion.

Kelly Clarkson has announced that she is leaving RCA Records saying “After winning American Idol there was an arranged marriage that occurred that sometimes worked out and sometimes resulted in the hardest experiences of my life.”  Clarkson also announced a new long term deal with Atlantic Records and plans for an R&B Soul album that is expected in 2017.

Harry Styles is taking advantage of his time off from One Direction and finally confirming rumours that he is going solo.  Styles has signed with Columbia Records, the same label that is home to One Direction.  Terms of the deal are not yet known and there is no timeline for his debut solo album.
