Man Arrested For Durham’s Sixth Homicide Of 2015

A 29-year-old male has been arrested on a warrant by DRPS regarding a homicide investigation. He was in custody in Toronto and was brought to Durham to face charges.

Terrance BENT, age 29, has been charged with: Accessory after the Fact to Murder; Arson and Indignity to a Body.

Shortly after the body of Claren Troy MIDDLETON was discovered in a north Pickering field on Oct. 23, 2015, the car he had been driving was found burning by the Lake Ontario waterfront in Oshawa. Investigators believe BENT was responsible for torching the vehicle.

On Friday October 23, 2015 at approximately 8:15 a.m., officers were called to the area of Sideline 4 just north of Hwy 7 in Pickering, after reports a body was located in a field. Officers attended and located a the body of Middleton.
