Three people have been arrested and two charged following a high risk vehicle stop on Lansdowne Street and Clonsilla Avenue. It happened around eleven o'clock Tuesday night and the result of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking. Two of the accused are believed to be responsible for the distribution of cocaine within Peterborough to a number of lower level drug traffickers and users.
608 grams of cocaine was seized, along with 24 grams of marihuana, cell phones, a car and $215. The estimated street value of the seizure is $61,000.
19 year old Jonathan Morningstar of Peterborough is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine, marihuana and possession of proceeds of crime. He will appear in court Wednesday.
25 year old Teresa Hrncie of Peterborough was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine and marihuana. She too was held in custody and will appear in court Wednesday.
