Billboard names its Woman of the Year… details in your Daily Scoop.

Billboard has named Madonna their Woman of the Year.  A rep for the magazine says, “Madonna is one of a miniscule number of super-artists whose influence and career transcend music.  With her creative vision, relentless innovation, and dedication to philanthropic causes, she is an inspiration to hundreds of millions of people around the world, all while shattering every career record out there.”

Gord Downie has been added to the WE Day lineup in Toronto and will perform a song from his upcoming solo album, “Secret Path.”  Downie will perform twice on Tuesday at the Air Canada Centre, first at the afternoon WE Day Toronto event and then at the evening We Day Family concert.

MTV has renewed ‘Scream’ for a third season.  The show will return next year with new showrunners and a shorter run.  Season 3 will only consist of 6 episodes down from 10 in season 2.  No word on if this will be the series’ final season.

The Stellas featuring Lennon & Maisy will be performing at the Regent Theatre on Saturday as part of The Imagine Festival in support of Ontario Shores.
