Argonauts veteran quarterback Ricky Ray sidelined with fractured rib

The Toronto Argonauts will once again have to make due without quarterback Ricky Ray.
Ray was in attendance but didn’t practise Friday as veteran Dan LeFevour took snaps with the starting offence. Head coach Scott Milanovich said Ray suffered a fractured rib and deflated lung in Toronto’s 49-36 loss to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Monday night.
Milanovich added Ray’s lung has since re-inflated but the quarterback will miss four-to-six weeks.
LeFevour will start Sunday when the Argos (4-6) host the Ticats (5-5) at BMO Field.
Ray, 36, will miss time for the third time in less than two seasons.
He missed most of the 2015 season recovering from off-season shoulder surgery. Ray was on the sidelines for three games earlier this season with a knee injury.
