A 63-year-old male passenger, a visitor from China, suffered fatal injuries in a motor vehicle collision in Goodwood last night.
On Thursday, August 18, 2016, at approximately 8:12 p.m., officers from North Division responded to the intersection of Goodwood Road and Front Street regarding a collision. A southbound black Chevrolet Cruze entered the intersection and collided with an eastbound Honda CRV.
A 63-year-old male passenger in the Honda, a visitor form China, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The 74-year-old male driver of the Honda and two other passengers in the vehicle, a 73-year-old female and a 58-year-old female, were transported to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The 50-year-old female driver of the Chevrolet was not injured in the collision.
Both roads were closed for several hours while members from the Collision Investigation Unit investigated the collision. Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
