Three people are facing charges and police are looking for a fourth after an attempt robbery at a pharmacy in Bowmanville.
On Tuesday August 9, 2016, at approximately 8:45 p.m., a female suspect with her face covered entered the Remedy Rx Pharmacy on Waverly Road in Bowmanville. She demanded fentanyl patches and other opiates, indicating a male armed with a gun was waiting outside. The suspect left the pharmacy empty handed and fled in a vehicle with two others. Employees contacted police. No one was physically injured and nothing was taken.
The female suspect was arrested a short time later along with two others.
Janet MCTAGUE, age 35 of Oshawa, Gail DUVAL, age 44 of Clarington and Jeremy RUSSELL age 34 of Pefferlaw are charged with: Robbery Armed with an Offensive Weapon x2; Wear Disguise x2; and Possession of Weapons Dangerous x2; They were held for bail hearings.
Police are looking for a suspect described as male, white, in his late 20s, about 5’11” tall, 180 lbs, with a medium build and facial hair.
