‘Suicide Squad’ hits theatres and boosts Ontario’s economy… details in your Daily Scoop.

Suicide Squad has been hit with negative reviews, but the film, which was shot in Toronto contributed more than $ 80 million to Ontario’s economy and created over 4700 jobs.  The Motion Picture Association of Canada released a statement saying, “Productions like Suicide Squad are not only an opportunity to showcase Ontario’s talented cast and crew, but also support thousands of local businesses who play a significant role behind the scenes.”  The latest DC film has already brought in 20.5 million from Thursday night previews and is expected to bring in $130 to $140 million this weekend.

TMZ is reporting that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are getting ready to tie the knot.  A source told the website that the couple, who met on ‘The Voice’ and have been dating since October, have hired a wedding planner.  It was rumoured earlier this year that Shelton had popped the question, but that Stefani wasn’t ready.  The couple hasn’t released a statement to confirm nor deny the reports.
