Thousands of dollars’ worth of tools and equipment were stolen overnight from a farm property in Courtice.
Between 11:30 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016, and 8 a.m. the next morning, unknown suspects broke into a barn on a farm property along Highway 2, east of Courtice Road. The suspects used a small hay wagon that was left on the property and loaded it with numerous items from inside the barn, including an air compressor, rototiller, gas-powered pressure sprayer, two chainsaws and numerous hand-held tools. The wagon was pulled to the edge of Highway 2 where it was unloaded into an unknown vehicle.
There is no suspect information, but investigators are appealing for witnesses who may have passed the suspects, while the stolen items were being transferred, during the night.
The estimated value of the stolen items is more than $10,000.
