A male in his early 20s has died after being pulled from a water park in Clarington.
On Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at approximately 9:30 a.m. officers in East Division responded to Cedar Park Resort regarding a male who had been pulled from a pool without vital signs. The victim, who is an employee of the resort, was standing in one of the pools before the resort opened, when he appeared to suffer a medical episode and slipped under the water. Staff members pulled him to safety and administered CPR until paramedics and police arrived.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced. His name is not being released at this time.
