Laptop Theft Suspect

Police are looking to identify a male suspect who was captured on video stealing a laptop from a Whitby library.

On Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a male was using his laptop at the Whitby Public Library on Dundas Street West when he left it unattended for a short time. When he returned, the laptop and its power cord were missing.

Surveillance cameras captured a male suspect unplugging the laptop and exiting the library.

The suspect is described as male, white, 25 to 35 years old, approximately 5’9” tall and wearing a short-sleeve plaid shirt, black shorts, and sandals.
