Police are trying to identify a suspect after a 16-year-old male was robbed at knifepoint Wednesday afternoon.
On Wednesday July 13, 2016, just after 2:00 p.m., a teen reported he left J.Clarke Richardson School in the Harwood Avenue and Rossland Road area and began walking along Spitty Road. He was approached by an unknown male who demanded his gold chain. The suspect held a knife to the teen’s stomach and throat and grabbed the chain from his neck. A vehicle approached the area and the suspect ran away. Officers searched the area with negative results. The victim was not physically harmed during the incident.
The suspect is described as: male, of South Asian descent, with a goatee, approximately 5’5” tall with a skinny build. He was wearing a blue hooded shirt, black jeans and white shoes.
