Shots Fired in Ajax

Two suspects are sought after shots were fired at a car in Ajax yesterday afternoon.

On Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers from West Division responded to Exeter Road near Kings Crescent after a report of gunshots being heard in the area. A male was in his car when he was in a brief verbal confrontation with two suspects on foot. One of the suspects fired a handgun towards the car and both suspects fled on foot. The driver quickly drove away from the area and called police.

No one was injured and the car was damaged by a gunshot in the front grill. A loaded handgun was located on the lawn nearby. Another handgun was located across Exeter Road near a community centre. It has not been determined if the second handgun is related to the original incident.

Suspect #1 is described male, black with a light complexion, 18 to 20 years old, approximately 6’2” tall with a large build, and wearing a blue sweater with a white logo, light blue jeans and yellow or gold shoes.

Suspect #2 is described as male, black, approximately 5’2” tall with a slim build, and wearing a black hoodie with “Roots Canada” written across the front.
