Robbery Attempt at Ajax Pharmacy

Two suspects fled empty-handed after trying to rob a pharmacy of narcotics in Ajax on Friday afternoon.

On Friday, June 24, 2016, at approximately 3:45 p.m., officers from West Division responded to the Shoppers Drug Mart on Kingston Road East for a robbery attempt. A masked male entered the store and demanded narcotics from staff at the pharmacy. An employee grabbed the suspect from behind, but he managed to break free and run from the store. A second suspect also began to run and was grabbed by his sweater, causing him to fall into the front door.

Both suspects were last seen running eastbound from the store.

No one was physically injured during the robbery. No weapons were seen or mentioned.

Suspect #1 is described as male, white, wearing a grey, hooded sweater, dark pants, and a black mask covering his face.

Suspect #2 is described as male, black with a light complexion, approximately 5’11” tall, with a shaved head, and wearing a grey, hooded sweatshirt and grey track pants.
