A Los Angeles jury has decided Led Zeppelin did not steal the opening to its classic anthem… details in your Daily Scoop.

Led Zeppelin has beaten a lawsuit claiming that the iconic guitar riff in “Stairway to Heaven” was copied from Spirit’s 1968 instrumental “Taurus.”  On Thursday, after a week’s worth of testimony and arguments, the jury came back with its verdict in a case brought to court by Michael Skidmore, the Trustee of Spirit songwriter Randy Wolfe’s estate, demanded in his lawsuit a rewriting of Rock N Roll history.

Katherine Heigl is expecting.  People Magazine is reporting the actress is pregnant with a baby boy, the third child for Heigl and her musician husband, Josh Kelley.  The couple, who tied the knot in 2007, have two daughters: 4-year-old Adalaide, who was adopted domestically in 2012, and 7-year-old Naleigh, who was adopted from South Korea in September 2009.

The cast of ‘Game of Thrones’ is reportedly set to receive a huge pay increase for a potential eighth season and they may be worth it because ratings have reached new heights in season 6.  Viewership has now surpassed 23 million viewers per episode including DVR and streaming.  Season 6 has not yet finished airing but its ratings are up 15 percent from season 5, which was the show’s previous record holder.
