Police say they have recovered a stolen puppy that was taken in a brazen pepper spray attack and found wandering around in Whitby, Ont.
Peel Regional police say two men and one woman posed as buyers for the puppy in Mississauga, Ont., that was advertised for sale online.
Around 8 p.m. on June 8, police say the trio pepper-sprayed the victim, grabbed the dog and took off in a silver Honda Civic.
On Thursday night, they say, a family found the puppy alone in Whitby.
Police have returned the puppy to its owner and say it is healthy and unharmed.
Peel police are continuing to search for the suspects.
