The Tony Awards were handed out Sunday night and the Orlando massacre had a heavy impact on the show… details in your Daily Scoop.

It was Broadway’s biggest night as the Tony Awards were handed out.  The evening’s big winner was the musical ‘Hamilton,’ which picked up 11 awards, just shy of the record of 12 Tonys held by ‘The Producers.’  The cast of ‘Hamilton’ took to the stage to perform, but after the tragedy in Orlando, decided to perform without their prop weapons.

The new releases at the box office fought for the top with ‘The Conjuring 2’ scaring up $ 40 million to claim the number one spot.  ‘Warcraft’ based on the best-selling computer games didn’t do as well as expected bringing in just $ 24 million for second place. This week’s other new film, ‘Now You See Me 2’ settled for third place with$ 23 million.

After fan demand, Five Finger Death Punch and Papa Roach will bring their tour along with special guests including Sixx:AM and From Ashes To New to the General Motors Centre on September 23.  Tickets for the show are set to go on sale on June 17.
