Male Suffers Stab Wounds in Oshawa

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a male, who is not cooperating with investigators, suffered numerous stab wounds early Sunday morning.

On Sunday, June 5, 2016, at approximately 3:20 a.m., officers in Central East Division responded to the area of Wentworth Street West and Cedar Street for an assist ambulance call. A 27-year-old male suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries after a confrontation in a nearby park. Initial reports stated that the incident occurred on a local walking path, but that was determined to be incorrect.

The victim, who is not cooperating with the investigation, was treated for his injuries at a local hospital.

There is no suspect information at this time.
