Police Investigating Murder In Oshawa

UPDATE:

The male found with life-threatening stab wounds last night in Oshawa had died from his injuries.

This victim has been identified as Braiden MCCLURE, age 21, of Island Road in Scugog Township.

The DRPS Major Crime Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. There is no suspect information at this time. This is Durham Region’s second homicide of the year.

Police are looking for suspect(s) after a male was found with life-threatening stab wounds in Oshawa last night.

On Wednesday June 1, 2016, just before 10:00 p.m. Officers were called to a parking lot in the area of Simcoe and Bloor Streets in Oshawa where they located a male with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital in Oshawa and then transferred to a Toronto hospital where he remains in critical condition.

There is no suspect information at this time. A male located in the area was detained but later released after further investigation.
