One suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of an Oshawa male was arrested Saturday night and a loaded handgun was seized.
Officers located the suspect at a motel in Courtice on Saturday night. A loaded handgun, which had been stolen in 2003 from an Oshawa address, was found in close proximity to the suspect.
Anthony MURRAY, age 27, of No Fixed Address, is now charged with 44 offences, including: Aggravated Assault; Assault with a Weapon; Break and Enter; Use Firearm During the Commission of an Offence; and Careless Use of a Firearm. He was held for a bail hearing.
Police continue to search for Christopher CAMERON, age 47, of Olive Avenue in Oshawa, wanted on an arrest warrant charging him with 11 offences, including: Aggravated Assault; Assault with a Weapon; Break and Enter; and Use Firearm During the Commission of an Offence. He is described as male, white, 5’8” tall and 174 lbs., with long brown hair, and goatee and blue eyes.
A third suspect is still being investigated and police are asking the public’s assistance in identifying the male’s involvement in the shooting incident of April 4, 2016.
