DRPS Looking For Man Who Broke Into Whitby Plaza

Police are looking to identify a male who broke into stores in the same Whitby plaza twice in two nights.

On Thursday, March 6, 2016, at approximately 3 a.m., a male suspect used a rock to smash the glass door of Halal Supermarket at the White Oaks Plaza on Dundas Street West. Once inside, he stole a quantity of cash.

The next night, at approximately 3 a.m., the same suspect smashed the door at the Beauty Salon, entered and stole cash.

Surveillance cameras captured the suspect during the break and enters, who attempted to conceal his face but was wearing distinctive clothing.

The suspect is described as male, 18 to 20 years old, 5’8″ to 5’10” tall, wearing a black winter parka with a grey, fur-trimmed hood and the words “North Face” on the right rear shoulder and left front chest areas. He wore black and white, high-top shoes.
