A house and a car were damaged after shots were fired at a Pickering house early Saturday morning.
On Saturday, April 2, 2016, at approximately 3:20 a.m., officers in West Division responded to Greenvale Crescent regarding numerous reports of the sound of gunfire. A dark-coloured vehicle was observed fleeing the area by residents who were awoken by the sound and estimated that up to 12 shots were fired. Officers located a bullet hole on a parked car and damage to the window of one house. Shell casings were recovered along the street.
Members of the DRPS Forensic Identification Services unit attended to collect evidence and examine the scene. A canvass of the neighbourhood was conducted as well.
No injuries were reported and investigators are asking to be contacted if any homeowners have video surveillance of the incident.
