Robbery at Bowmanville Convenience Store

A male suspect is sought after a convenience store in Bowmanville was robbed at knife-point early this morning.

On Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at approximately 4 a.m., officers from East Division responded to Mac’s Milk on Mearns Avenue regarding a robbery that had just occurred. A male suspect entered the store, brandished a knife and demanded cash from the register. After receiving the cash, the suspect demanded cigarettes. The employee complied with the demand and the suspect fled the store.

The DRPS K-9 unit searched the area but did not locate the suspect. It is believed the suspect left the area in a waiting car.

The employee was not physically injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as: male, white, approximately 25 years old, and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a blue scarf covering his face.
