Snowplows will be scraping the streets all across Durham Region this morning after a late-winter storm that was expected to drop 15 to 25 centimetres of snow before the skies clear later this morning.
A winter storm warning was issued overnight for a broad region stretching from the Hamilton area north to Orillia and from the shores of Lake Huron through Peterborough and the Bancroft area.

Environment Canada has cautioned that the snow will be blown around by winds of up to 70 kilometres an hour in some locations, which will reduce visibility and create hazardous driving conditions.
