The Big Bang Theory was the big winner at the People’s Choice Awards picking up three including Favourite Network TV Show.  Melissa McCarthy, Furious 7, Grey’s Anatomy, and Taylor Swift each picked up two awards.  Some Canadians also took home awards including The Weeknd, who won Favourite R&B Artist, Justin Bieber’s ‘What Do You Mean?’ was named Favourite Song and Shawn Mendes walked away with the Breakout Artist trophy.  One of the moments that everyone is talking about happened when the ladies of The Talk were interrupted during their acceptance speech.

In honour of American Idol kicking off its final season, Forbes has released the list of the show’s highest earning contestants of the past year.  Adam Lambert comes in at number one with 10 million.  Carrie Underwood claims second with 8 million.  Daughtry sits at number three with 6 million.  Phillip Phillips’ 5 million earns him fourth place and first season winner Kelly Clarkson and Scotty McCreery are tied in fifth with 4 million.

Janet Jackson is addressing rumours about her health saying “remember… Believe it when you hear it from my lips. I do not have cancer. I’m recovering. My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled.”
